Grape Stomp

Grape stomping dates back to ancient Rome and is still practiced in Italy today.  Here at our Italian Festival is it just to have some fun.  And a little competition!

Be sure to stop by and cheer on our teams, while watching them stomp as fast as they can!

Team members stomp barefoot on grapes in wine barrels releasing the grape juice.   The juice is then measured to see which team provided the most.

Friday's Grape Stomp is made up of pairs from our cooking teams.

Saturday's Grape Stomp is made up of pairs of Holy Rosary teachers.

If you are here on Saturday, stick around because the grape stomp is followed by the wine race.   Another event sure to make you laugh!
